Abstract

The rapid development of technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including metrology, which is essential to ensure the accuracy of measuring instruments in commerce, health, public safety, and the environment. To maintain the standard and quality of measurement, an efficient and timely monitoring and investigation system is needed. This research aims to develop an Android-based application to support legal metrology investigations, in order to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in the management of measurement data. The case study was conducted at the Metrology Division Office of the Trade and Industry Office of Jombang Regency, which handles measurement standardization and supervision of measuring instruments. This application is designed to address the issues of measurement inaccuracies, insufficient calibration frequency, and result recording errors, and help metrology officers overcome challenges in the measurement process. Using the Android platform, the app offers ease of use and customization, and improves performance, speeds up the investigation process, and encourages innovation in the field of legal metrology.
